Plug-in Creation
In Acoo Browser, you can create your own plug-in, which can be realized by the built-in panel in the basic browser window. The example plug-in is given in our standard installation program of Acoo Browser. You can see it by choosing View->Explorer Bar->Example plug-in (Panel) in menu bar. The browser window including a plug-in is shown in Figure 1, and you also can see that a panel viewing the navigation of Acoo Browser site appears at the left of the window. Let's consider the structure of a plug-in file on the Example plug-in in detail. The plug-in file, which includes three files: plugin.ini, acoo.ico and index.htm, lies in the folder of Plugins->PaneSample in Acoo Browser root. The plugin.ini file contained the basic adjustment of a plug-in is a simple text file, which can be opened in a standard Notepad. The contents after the semicolon (;) are notes, which cannot influence the work of a plug-in. The parts after [General] are the important section of a plug-in. The significations of each parameter are shown in the following table.
As shown in table, we know that a plug-in carries out by HTML document. Thus, the plug-in in Explorer Bar still include the creation of HTML. In order to achieve the purpose, you can use HTML language, scripts (Java, JavaScript, etc.) and other web creation tools.
